There were no fires reported on July 18. Current as of June 19, Cochrane 6 continues to be the region’s only active fire. The forest fire hazard ranges from low to high throughout the region. April 1 marked the debut of the forest fire season in Ontario. Since then, the Northeast Fire Region has confirmed and suppressed 9 fires totaling 39 hectares.
