Emeraude’s new nest that brother put in considerable effort to retrieve (tyLloyd) Lloyd messing around to crack us up (it worked 🙂 lol) another pose with our pinecone craft. She made the bird (blue pipecleaner) and I made the bumblebee with her help (she worked the glue gun), lots of fun. [Read more]

White Lake, Ontario Lloyd & Brady were great sports, really getting into the exploration when Emeraude asked them for help catching tadpoles, leaches and other aquatic friends. Between the three of them, they found 4 leachs, a few dozen tadpoles, what we believed to be the larvae of a dragonfly [Read more]

This week’s Steve Spangler video is really cool, as per his usual. Watch as he investigates the validitaty of and email claiming that “Mento in Ice +Pepsi” was a hoax. Gotta love how thourough he is even with something like this which does not come from the scientific community [Read more]

Service was wonderful this morning. Emeraude really enjoyed herself at Sunday School and even went up for the Children’s Prayer (big girl). As for me, I am feeling renewed, God spoke to me this morning and told me that He needed to use me & my photography to spread His message. And so, [Read more]

Emeraude & I went to the Lion’s beach for a little play and to get more sand for her sand box. We sift the beach sand to make sure it’s clean, and to take out larger rocks and then cart it home. After yesterday’s additional sand, her sandbox is nearly full and I think a [Read more]

have I mentioned that I love summer? After the High School band Spvering Concert at the Public School the other day, Emeraude wanted to “just make a few bubbles Mommy” and I couldn’t refuse; in fact, after snapping these photos I decided to join in the fun for a while. I love how [Read more]

I had bought this kit for Vickie’s kids as a thank you to her for having driven us to Thunder Bay. In hindsight I could have purchased one for Emeraude right away also – if you’re interested, they’re at Walmart – because I knew it was something almost any child would [Read more]

Not sure if I’ve posted this one before as it is a favourite of Emeraude’s… She really gets a kick out of how you mix the whip cream into the jell-o but then it seperates again while cooling. Want a healthier version? add some fresh or canned fruit, almost any are delicious. There [Read more]

It was an incredibly long day and, after all the craziness, Emeraude was not up to playing soccer. She asked to stay home and I obliged agreeing that she had done enough for one day (and had way more patience than any 4 year old should need). This of course did not mean that she was [Read more]

Ok, this is another one that is absolutely TOO COOL! I know that both the kids (for those of you that aren’t regulars here, my son Lloyd is 14.5 and my daughter Emeraude is 4 so science experiments that appeal to both are not always a given) are going to find this mesmerizing*! Will [Read more]
