Cottagers, anglers and hunters in Manitouwadge who usually take the Black River bridge to exit the community will soon need to find another route to access their favourite summer retreats as the bridge is scheduled to be shut down next week. Manitouwadge Volunteer Firefighters responded to a call on Graham Road Sunday after the oil in an outdoor deep fryer spilled over causing the device to catch on fire. Manitouwadge‘s Wadgefest ’09 wrapped up Sunday with a golf tournament at the municipal course, a barbecue fundraiser by the Manitouwadge Cancer Assistance Group and a variety of kids games, concessions, face painting and awards distribution in the Rec Centre Arena. [Read more]
