Wolverines Invite Public to Sports Day (& Canteen Fundraiser)
MANITOUWADGE, ON – With many COVID restrictions lifted, the Manitouwadge High School Athletic Association and teams are excited to invite the public back in for today’s sports day.
Visit the High School today (see post below for more information) to enjoy boys’ basketball and girls’ volleyball. Two weeks ago, when the Wolverines ravelled to Terrace Bay to face off against the Lake Superior Stingers, it was a clean sweep with both the Junior and Senior Girls’ Volleyball and Senior Boys’ Basketball teams from Manitouwadge winning their games though some were quite close. Can the Stingers avoid a repeat of those losses or will Wolverines teams dominate the day again?
In addition to great live sports, the MHS Athletics Association are also offering attendees a wide variety of treats and baked goods for purchase at the canteen (open from 9am to approximately 2:30pm). All proceeds from canteen sales tomorrow will be donated to support the Canadian Red Cross’s releif efforts in Ukraine.
Visitors must sign-in at the front door; masks are recommended (but optional).
