Manitouwadge Distributing Free Rapid-Antigen Self-Tests
MANITOUWADGE, ON – January 12, 2022 Mayor and Council for the Township of Manitouwadge passed a resolution to support the purchase of 10,000 Rapid Antigen Test Kits for the residents of Manitouwadge.
Each resident of Manitouwadge is entitled to receive a supply of five test kits to use as needed. The purpose of the test kits are to assist residents in identifying if they are COVID positive and to self-isolate to protect vulnerable residents and assist our local businesses in their ability to continue to operate and provide essential services such as prescriptions, food, gasoline and cleaning products.
Starting Monday, January 31st, please complete the online application form [CLICK HERE FOR APPLICATION] to register to receive your test kits. Applications will accepted on an ongoing basis, as required.
You will receive notification by email or phone advising the date, time and location to pick up your Test Kits.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
Residents must provide proof of their address in the form of the following:
- Driver’s License with a Manitouwadge address;
- Utility or Tax Bill clearly showing a Manitouwadge house number and street address (page 2 on Hydro One billing statements).
Any Rapid Antigen Test that is provided free of charge by the Township is not to be re-distributed or re-sold under any circumstance.
Residents are encouraged to notify Sante Manitouwadge Health if they test positive for COVID 19 to better understand the spread of the virus in our community. Residents can confidentially call the hospital to report their positive test result at 807-826-3251.

Pick-Up Instructions:
- Pick up location to be provided
- Do not pick up test kits if you are not feeling well. Please call the township for alternate pick up or delivery options
- You must wear a mask/ face covering for kit pick up
- You must physically distance
- You must provide proof of your house and street address (driver’s license or utility bill)
