GERALDTON, ON – On Saturday, December 11, 2021, officers from the Greenstone Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in conjunction with the Superior North Emergency Medical Service and the Greenstone Fire Department hosted their annual “Stuff-a-Cruiser” event in Geraldton and Longlac, Ontario.
The 13th annual event was once again a success with officers filling two police vehicles with non-perishable food donations and toys as well as collecting cash donations for the Harvest Centre in Greenstone.
The Harvest Centre provides for the Municipality of Greenstone which includes the outlying areas of Beardmore, Caramat, and Nakina. The Food Bank has seen an influx of need over the past several years, especially around the holiday season.
The Greenstone OPP would like to thank everyone who donated and assisted with the event
The Greenstone OPP would also like to send a special thank you to our major sponsors at Greenstone Gold Mines, Tyler’s No-Frills, FreshMart Longlac, Danneff’s Food Market, Astrocom Cable and the Times Star Publishing.
