Our Lady of Fatima Catholic School Graduate Plays First NHL Game
September 27th, Our Lady of Fatima Grad, Tyler Tucker played in his first NHL game for the St. Louis Blues. It was a preseason game against the Dallas Stars. Tyler has a very successful junior hockey career in the OHL with the Barrie Colts and the Flint Firebirds. He was drafted by St. Louis Blues in 2018.
Tyler’s story is proof positive that anyone from the small communities that make up the schools of SNCDSB can realize their dreams. This is not limited to hockey but any field or profession. Hard work pays off regardless of what career path you choose.
When returning to his hometown, Tyler and his brother Jesse always make time to help out on the ice with kids in Longlac Minor Hockey.
“Tyler is a very quiet person who lets his actions do his talking. He leads by example, which is part of the reason he was an assistant captain with the Barrie Colts.”
