Off-Road Vehicle Collision Results in Impaired Driving Charge
NIPIGON, ON – On July 4, 2021, at 10:48 p.m. members of the Nipigon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a motor vehicle collision involving a side-by-side, off-road vehicle that rolled over near the Camp 81 Road, Unorganized Township.
After a police investigation, 34-year-old James Spade-Potan of Thunder Bay, was charged with failure or refusal to comply with demand, contrary to the Criminal Code Section 320.15(1).
He has been released and will appear in the Nipigon Ontario Court of Justice to answer to the charge.
The OPP is committed to safety for all who utilize Ontario’s roadways. Members of the public are urged to report Impaired Driving by calling 911 in emergency situations. Complaints of impaired, aggressive or careless driving can also be made by calling 1-888-310-1122.
