Marathon Council Special Meeting : #COVID (Video)
MARATHON, ON – Marathon Town Council wants to see it’s residents protected, preparing a resolution to send a letter to the Medical Officer of Health for the Thunder Bay District Dr. Janet DeMille, Thunder Bay-Superior North MPP Michael Gravelle, Ontario Minister of Health Christine Elliot, and Premier Doug Ford requesting 2200 vaccines be delivered to the community for mass immunization.
The Council wants to see their community immunized in a timely fashion believing this is a reasonable request for a number of reason iterated in their letter (and read in the video above) party in light of Southern Ontario now shifts to immunizing low-risk people while in our district’s communities there are still high risk groups who have yet to be immunized).
