Manitouwadge Comedian’s TikTok Account Approaches 3 Hundred Thousand Likes
MANITOUWADGE, ON – A local Manitouwadge resident has a rapidly growing fanbase on TikTok (and on other social media apps) thanks to her comedic stylings portraying a phone operator for an animal abuse hotline. That may not seem like a particularly funny premise until you watch Trish Boileau’s videos and realize it’s actually the animals, believing their owners are failing to adequately pamper them and/or treating them unfairly, who are calling into the hotline themselves.
If you’re struggling with the demands and stress of COVID, related lockdowns or limited access to friends and family get some much-needed, safe-for-work, distraction and entertainment on TikTok @trishwadge.
We asked Trish’s partner Sera about her wife’s growing TikTok audience
She’s so funny and I get to reap the laughing benefits as well as knowing my friends and family are laughing too. We’ve received private messages, some that have made us tear up, from people experiencing really hard times, during an already difficult time, who appreciate how Trish has brightened their day. We even received a basket of thoughtful gifts and treats with a wonderful note from people who wanted to reciprocate the joy her videos gave them.
With all the struggles/stress of COVID, people could use a little humour to brighten their day, it’s wonderful Trish gives that to people.
shared Sera.
And she has indeed been brightening the days of a very impressive number of people. In addition to the videos being reposted by Sera, and many others, on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and elsewhere, on TikTok Trish currently has more than 32 000 followers with her videos amassing nearly THREE HUNDRED THOUSAND Likes – that’s a lot of smiling, laughing people!
