Residents Take Up Kiwissa Climb Challenge
MANITOUWADGE, ON – Sunday, March 21 the Manitouwadge Ski Club drew a winner for the Kiwissa Climb Challenge. The Club offered a chance at winning $100 Extreme Dollars to anyone who, throughout the week prior, “snap[ped] a photo of yourself in front one of the run signs, post it on the Kiwissa Ski Club Facebook page”.
With 89 entries through one week, this was obviously a success! Congratulations to Claire Milks who won having posted this photo of herself at the beginning of The 614 (the run, not the highway, obvi)
In addition to individuals, families and friends a number of school groups also met the challenge. Ski Club Rep Lisa Schut identified Ms. Baker’s Class from Our Lady of Lourdes School as possibly the largest group to make the climb and post a photo together during the challenge.
Well done everyone! Luckily, as marked the Fireworks this weekend, Spring has officially begun and trails all over town are drying up – take advantage of the mild weather to explore the incredible area we live in!
