Current COVID-19 Level: Grey – Lockdown
The Ontario government is using a regional approach with the COVID-19 Response Framework: Keeping Ontario Safe and Open. This framework ensures that public health measures are targeted, incremental and responsive to help limit the spread of COVID-19, while keeping schools and businesses open, maintaining health system capacity and protecting vulnerable people, including those in long-term care.
TBDHU is currently in the “Grey – Lockdown” level. A summary of the public health measures and restrictions required for each level is available on the COVID-19 Regional Public Health Measures and Restrictions page.
No matter what level the region is in, it is critical that everyone follow all public health measures:
- Stay home if you have any symptoms, even if mild.
- Trips outside the home should only be for essential reasons, such as work, school, child care, groceries, medications, health care, exercise, or assisting vulnerable individuals.
- Avoid social gatherings. Do not visit other households or host visitors in your home.
- Keep at least 2 metres of physical distance from those outside your household.
- Wear a mask/face covering when required, as well as any time you may be within 2 metres of those outside your household.
- Avoid non-essential travel, especially between zones and out of province.
- Work from home, if possible.
- Wash your hands frequently or use alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
What is “Grey – Lockdown” Level?
The “Grey – Lockdown” level outlines maximum measures. These are widescale measures and restrictions, including closures, across many sectors to halt or interrupt transmission. A declaration of emergency may be considered.
Here is a snapshot of the measures in the “Grey – Lockdown” level (note that all measures from the lower levels must also be in place). For full details, see the COVID-19 Response Framework website under the Grey – Lockdown section.
