(6:14 AM) TRAVEL ADVISORY IN EFFECT FOR:

Manitouwadge – Hornepayne

Winter Weather Travel Advisory in effect for today into Friday.

Snow is expected to move into the area this morning and continue into Friday. Total snowfall amounts of 10 to 20 cm are expected.

Poor winter driving conditions especially on Highway 17 are expected due to accumulating snow and low visibility. Motorists should consider changing travel plans accordingly.

(5:12 AM) Snowfall warning in effect for:

Geraldton – Longlac – Caramat – Nakina – Aroland – Pagwa

Snowfall with total amounts of 20 to 30 cm is expected.

Snow will begin this morning and continue through Friday before tapering to light flurries Friday night.

Strong northwesterly winds gusting up to 50 km/h will develop on Friday resulting in localized areas of blowing snow.

Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow. Take frequent breaks and avoid strain when clearing snow.

Marathon – Schreiber – Nipigon – Rossport

Snowfall with total amounts of 20 to 30 cm is expected.

Snow will move into areas near Lake Superior this morning and continue into Friday. Total snowfall amounts of 20 to 30 cm are likely. The heaviest snowfall appears most likely from Thursday afternoon until Friday morning.

Travel conditions along Highway 17 between Nipigon and Wawa will likely become hazardous due to accumulating snow and very low visibility. Motorists should consider changing travel plans accordingly.

The town of Wawa is expected to receive lesser amounts than areas farther west along the shore of Lake Superior.

Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Rapidly accumulating snow will make travel difficult. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.

White River – Dubreuilville

Winter Weather Travel Advisory in effect for today into Friday.

Snow is expected to move into the area this morning and continue into Friday. Total snowfall amounts of 10 to 20 cm are expected.

Wawa – Pukaskwa Park

Snowfall with total amounts of 20 to 30 cm is expected.

Snow will move into areas near Lake Superior this morning and continue into Friday. Total snowfall amounts of 20 to 30 cm are likely. The heaviest snowfall appears most likely from Thursday afternoon until Friday morning.

Cloud Bay – Dorion – Kakabeka Falls – Whitefish Lake – Arrow Lake

Winter Weather Travel Advisory in effect for this afternoon and evening.

Periods of light snow have begun across the area. The snow is expected to increase in intensity late this morning and persist into the evening hours.

Poor winter driving conditions are expected this afternoon due to accumulating snow, particularly on Highways 11 and 17. Motorists should consider changing travel plans accordingly.

Total snowfall amounts of 7 to 12 cm are expected by the time the snow tapers off overnight, with some areas possibly approaching 15 cm.
