SGDSB and CSPGNO Labour Action Day
NORTHWESTERN ONTARIO – Classes were cancelled today for students across the region from Superior-Greenstone District School Board (SGDSB) and Conseil Scolaire Public du Grand-Nord de l’Ontario (CSPGNO) as French and English public schools were closed for a Labour Action Day.
The boards had very brief press releases on their websites (CLICK HERE to read SGDSB’s releases; CLICK HERE to read the CSPGNO’s press release currently only posted in French on their website) in part thanking parents for their patience/understanding (the French press release from the CSPGNO provided slightly more information in regards to why the closure is taking place).
Both boards advise that students will return to school as scheduled tomorrow.
Busses were still running in communities across the region as English and French Catholic School Boards are not involved in the Labour Action Day.
