Manitouwadge Skatepark Open (video)
MANITOUWADGE, ON – For decades Manitouwadge residents have dreamt of having a local Skate Park but were unsuccessful in their efforts to see the project completed until, about 5yrs ago, a volunteer committee, deciding the wait had been long enough. Picking up the torch and, together with the Township, working diligently the group made it happen.
September 2019 the impressive “Extreme Plaza Skatepark” unofficially opened to the public (an official Grand Opening is expected to be held in Spring 2020).
The park is free to use during daylight hours. If the level of use since it opened, by residents of varying ages using a plethora of pedestrian conveyances, is any measure, this newest addition to the recreation centre landscape is an overwhelming success!
