Newly Released Movies, Karen Gionet Wins & August’s Top 10 Most Rented at Crossover
They messed with the wrong guy’s dog! Back in 2014, we were introduced to the mysterious John Wick- a man hell-bent on getting revenge after a group of ruthless mobsters attacked his defenseless dog. Using a set of elite skills, Wick quickly plowed through the mobsters as if they were mere mosquitoes. Moviegoers instantly took a liking to the rough and tumble character and, to no surprise, a sequel was released in 2017- again to much fanfare. This week, the third and possibly last installment of the John Wick franchise debuts as our headline new release. Not to be overshadowed is the modern day remake of the classic Aladdin. There are a total of seven new titles this week, with a brief synopsis of each below;
John Wick 3: starring Keanu Reeves and Halle Berry- After killing a member of an international assassin’s guild, a 14 million dollar bounty is placed on John Wick leading him to become the target of hitmen and women from around the world. (Action) (DVD and Blu-Ray) Also available to rent @ 2 Doors Down in Manitouwadge
Aladdin: starring Will Smith and Mena Massoud- As he tries to win the affection of Jasmine, Aladdin faces off against a villain in an effort to gain control of a magic lamp. (Family/Adventure) (DVD and Blu-Ray) Also available to rent @ 2 Doors Down in Manitouwadge
Dead Don’t Die: starring Bill Murray and Adam Driver- In the small sleepy town of Centerville, the boring daily routine is thrown into chaos when the dead start rising from their graves. (Horror/Comedy) (DVD) Also available to rent @ 2 Doors Down in Manitouwadge
Late Night: starring Emma Thompson and Mindy Kaling- A legendary talk show host, struggling with increasingly low ratings, hires her first ever female writer in an effort to gain some new perspective. (Comedy/Drama) (DVD) Also available to rent @ 2 Doors Down in Manitouwadge
Squadron 303: starring Kirk Barker- The story of a highly regarded fighter squadron, consisting of mostly Polish soldiers, that risked their lives to protect England during WW2. (War/Action) (DVD)
Being Frank: starring Jim Gaffigan- While celebrating spring break, a young man is shocked to find his father with another woman- leading to the further discovery that he actually has an entire second family. (Comedy/Drama) (DVD)
