A well-known quote says “There’s a superhero in all of us. We just need the courage to put on the cape”. In this week’s headline new release, “Shazam”, this concept is explored when a 14 year old foster kid develops the ability to summon his inner superhero- with both comedic and potentially dangerous results. There are a total of five new releases this week, with a brief synopsis of each below;

Breakthrough: starring Topher Grace and Josh Lucas- Based on a TRUE STORY! When a teenager falls through the ice putting them near the brink of death, his mother turns to the power of prayer in hopes of bringing him back. Abduction: starring Scott Adkins- After a man wakes up in Vietnam with no recollection of who he is or how he got there, he finds himself relentlessly pursued by dangerous mysterious figures. (Sci-Fi/Action) (DVD)
Teen Spirit: starring Elle Fanning- A teenage singer, trying to get out of her small town, enters into a singing competition in hopes that it provides her with the spotlight needed to launch her career. (Drama/Music) (DVD)
Little Woods: starring Lily James- Sisters in a small town are forced to enter into the dangerous world of drug trafficking in order to support the struggling residents of their town. (Drama/Crime) (DVD)
