Canada Day Festivities – Manitouwadge
MANITOUWADGE, ON – Monday, residents gathered at the Recreation Centre ball field to enjoy a BBQ, live music, games, bouncy castles and much more! Approximately 200 people were in attendance (watching from the Golf Hut balcony) during most of the evening.
Among the highlights from the evening were a presentation by Fire Chief Owen Cranney to two local men (CLICK HERE for details/photos http://bit.ly/2JcTGmE), the national anthem sung by Shelley Buffitt, and of course the dunk tank (for more dunk tank photos, click here).
The evening was wrapped up by a spectacular fireworks show by the Manitouwadge Volunteer Firefighters (click here for more video/photos from the fireworks and visit our facebook page). Community Programmer Reene Warren explained that funds raised from the 2019 Canada Day events will go towards future fireworks. Warren, on behalf of the township, also thanked all the volunteers who helped make the Canada Day 2019 festivities in Manitouwadge a resounding success!
