Prodigy Gold and Batchewana First Nation Sign Agreement in Support of Magino Mine Project

Toronto, ON – A signing ceremony is being held today in Toronto to commemorate the Magino Gold minding project in Northwestern Ontario.

Prodigy Gold (“Prodigy” a wholly owned subsidiarity of Argonaut Gold), as represented by the President and Chief Executive Officer Pete Dougherty, and the Batchewana First Nation (“BFN”), as represented by Chief Dean Sayers and Council are pleased to announce that they have finalized an agreement towards the development and operation of the Magino gold mining project.

The Agreement includes provisions on how the BFN will benefit from the development of the Magino project and throughout the life of the mine including employment, business opportunities, training and education initiatives. The Agreement also incorporates processes that reflect the shared commitment of Prodigy and BFN in protecting the environment and building a long term, mutually beneficial relationship.
