Exploding Fruit in Schreiber
SCHREIBER, ON – Ms. Elsa Figliomeni led the Gr. 1/2 & 3/4 students, and the Gr. 5/6’s & Kindergarten students in a wonderfully messy science experiment in our renovated Learning Commons/Library.
The students made their predictions about which fruit would erupt better, the apple or the lemon. They carefully observed as vinegar was poured into the baking soda stuffed apple and as baking soda was added to the natural acid of the lemon.
What an awesome way to learn about chemical reactions and collaborate together!
