Manitouwadge Community Services Events Frighteningly Fun
Truck n’ Treat

MANITOUWADGE, ON – October 27 the Township of Manitouwadge hosted a number of fun events in celebration of Halloween.
Saturday afternoon, a Truck n’ Treat (photos above) was held in the parking lot behind the rec centre were a variety of heavy equipment, used in and around our community by the township and other local companies, was parked for kids to enjoy. Operators of the equipment had treats on hand to share with the kids. The event was well attended and a lot of fun. Inside the Recreation centre were the Pumpkin Carving Contest entries submitted by residents (photos of the pumpkins donated to the township to decorate the Haunted Walk immediately below). Considerable creativity and time were clearly put into creating these impressive works of art!
Saturday evening two versions of the Haunted Walk were offered; the first walk, from 6-7pm was for those interested in a less extreme experience during which the lights were kept on while the second walk from 7-9pm saw the majority of lights turned off to ensure screams came not only from the volunteers involved in presenting the spooky experience but also from visitors who dared take the walk.

The Community Services Dept. was very pleased with attendance as nearly 100 visitors passed through, many taking the walk more than once.
