NEW Toy Selection, Trailers for This Week’s #NewReleases, and MORE! @CrossoverVideo
Over the years, a wide variety of musicals have gone on to become Hollywood classics. “Singin in the Rain”, “Mary Poppins”, “Grease” “Annie” and “West Side Story” are all musical titles that many (even those who aren’t fans of the genre) will at the very least be familiar with. It’s a genre that isn’t often discussed and one that has seen very few new additions over the last few years. In 2008, an all-star cast that included the likes of Pierce Brosnan and Meryl Street teamed up for a modern day musical hit- “Mamma Mia”, which went on to earn 2 Golden Globe nominations. This week, the sequel “Mamma Mia 2” is our headline new release. In Part 2 much of the original cast, along with a few newcomers, reconvene as Sophie reveals that she is pregnant. There are five new titles this week with a brief synopsis of each below;
Mamma Mia 2: starring Amanda Seyfried, Pierce Brosnan and Meryl Streep- As Sophie prepares for the opening of the Hotel Bella Donna, she gathers her family and friends to announce that she is expecting a child. (Comedy/Musical/Romance) (DVD and Blu-Ray) Also available to rent @ 2 Doors Down in Manitouwadge!
Patient Zero: starring Natalie Dormer, Matt Smith and Stanley Tucci- After a global pandemic turns the majority of humankind into violent infected creatures, a man gifted with the ability to speak the infected’s new language leads the last survivors on a hunt for a cure. (Thriller/Horror) (DVD)
Don’t Worry He Won’t Get Too Far on Foot: starring Joaquin Phoenix, Jonah Hill, Jack Black and Rooney Mara- While on the rocky path to sobriety after a life-changing accident, a man discovers the healing power of art, and begins drawing hilarious, often controversial cartoons. (Drama/Comedy) (DVD)
I Think We’re Alone Now: starring Peter Dinklage and Elle Fanning- A recluse, living contently after the apocalypse has seemingly wiped out the human race, finds his world turned upside when he comes across an injured young lady. (Drama/Mystery) (DVD)
Scorpion King Book of Souls: starring Zach McGowan- The Scorpion King teams up with a female warrior to search for a legendary relic known as The Book of Souls, which will allow them to put an end to an evil warlord. (Action/Fantasy) (DVD and Blu-Ray)
