Manitouwadge To Re-Count Ballots Cast for Office of Mayor
MANITOUWADGE, ON – At the Council meeting of October 24, 2018, a request was made for a recount of the ballots cast for the office of Mayor which had resulted in a difference of just four votes with John MacEachern receiving 351 votes and Pastor Peter Ruel receiving 347 votes.
Council passed a resolution under Section 57(1) of the Municipal Elections Act, 1996, approving the recount which will be held in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Office on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 OntarioNewsNorth.com will be publishing results once they are announced.
