#CrossoverVideo New Year Trailers & New Releases, Monthly TOP 10 & Shop Local Winner
Here’s hoping that everyone had a safe, happy and enjoyable holiday season. As the tree now sits at the end of the driveway, and the calendar flips to 2018, it’s time to turn the focus back to movies. January promises to be a good month for new releases with a few highly anticipated titles set to debut- including the smash hit horror remake “IT”! Other titles to look forward to include; The Foreigner, Bladerunner 2049, Geostorm, Jigsaw, Happy Death Day, My Little Pony Movie and this week’s headline new release- American Made. Starring Tom Cruise, American Made is the unbelievable true story about an airline pilot who gets recruited by the CIA to partake in a potentially dangerous undercover mission. There are a total of six new releases this week, with a brief synopsis of each below;
American Made: starring Tom Cruise- Based on a TRUE STORY! An American pilot is recruited by the CIA to become a drug-runner in the 1980s in a clandestine operation that would be exposed as the Iran-Contra Affair. (Action)(DVD and Blu-Ray)
Breathe: starring Andrew Garfield- Based on a TRUE STORY! When a young man is struck down by polio at the age of 28, he is confined to a hospital bed and given only a few months to live. With the help of his wife’s brothers and a series of groundbreaking inventions, he leaves the hospital in hopes of living a full and rewarding life. (Drama) (DVD)
Rebel in the Rye: starring Nicholas Hoult, Kevin Spacey and Zoey Deutch- The story of the life of celebrated but reclusive author, J.D. Salinger, who gained worldwide fame with the publication of his novel, “The Catcher in the Rye”. (Drama) (DVD)
7 Sisters: starring Noomi Rapace, Glenn Close and Willem Dafoe- In an overpopulated world where families are limited to one child, a group of identical septuplets fight to avoid being eliminated by the government. (Action/Crime) (DVD)
Battle of the Sexes: starring Emma Stone and Steve Carell- Based on a TRUE STORY! In 1973, world number 1 tennis player Billie Jean King takes on former champion Bobby Riggs in the first male/female match of its kind. (Drama/Comedy) (DVD)
Alien Domicile: starring Elly Brown- A group of people find themselves in a battle for survival against unknown forces at the infamous Area 51. (Horror)(DVD)

Jeepers Creepers 3: starring Stan Shaw- A police sergeant assembles a task force to destroy the Creeper once and for all while growing closer than ever before to learning the secrets of its dark origins. (Horror) (DVD and Blu-Ray)
6 Below: starring Josh Hartnett- An adrenaline seeking snowboarder gets lost in a massive winter storm in the back country of the High Sierra mountains where he is pushed to the limits of human endurance and forced to battle his own personal demons as he fights for survival. Bushwick: starring Dave Bautista (Batista) and Brittany Snow- When a Texas military force invades a Brooklyn neighborhood, a 20-year-old teams up with a war veteran in hopes of surviving. (Action) (DVD)
Brawl in Cell Block 99: starring Vince Vaughn- A former boxer-turned-drug runner lands in a prison battleground after a deal goes wrong and turns deadly. (Crime/Drama) (DVD and Blu-Ray)
Killing Gunther: starring Arnold Schwarzenegger- A group of eccentric assassins hatch a plot to kill Gunther, the world’s greatest hitman- but their plan turns into a series of bungled encounters as Gunther seems to always be one step ahead.(Action/Comedy) (DVD)
This holiday season, the Marathon and District Chamber of Commerce and the Marathon Economic Development Corporation teamed up for a shop local campaign. Shoppers who chose to spend their money at participating stores were entered into a draw for a chance to win a $50 Gift Certificate. Crossover was indeed one of the participating locations.
