#CrossoverInsider: This Week’s New Movie & Video Game Releases + Trailers
Back in the early 90’s, a team of “easy on the eye” lifeguards took TV viewing audiences by storm. The somewhat cheesy “Baywatch” told the story of Mitch, Stephanie, CJ and crew as they protected their crowded recreational beach from a number of potential dangers.
The show, which ran for 11 seasons, would also turn David Hasselhoff and Pamela Anderson into household names. When it was announced in 2016 that Baywatch would be made into a movie starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, fans and non-fans alike were curious to see how the movie would capture the essence of the show. Baywatch (the movie) is this week’s headline new release in a week that features a total of five new titles. Below is a brief synopsis of each new film;

My Cousin Rachel: starring Rachel Weisz and Sam Clafin- A young man plots revenge against his late cousin’s wife believing that she is responsible for his death. (Drama/Mystery) (DVD) Also available to rent @ 2 Doors Down in Manitouwadge
Born in China: featuring the voice of John Krasinski- A documentary capturing intimate moments with a panda and her growing cub, a young golden monkey who feels displaced by his baby sister, and a mother snow leopard struggling to raise her two cubs. (Documentary) (DVD and Blu-Ray)
Berkshire County: starring Alysa King- After reluctantly agreeing to babysit at an isolated country mansion, a bullied teen’s night takes a terrifying turn when a boy in pig mask knocks at the door. (Horror) (DVD)
Forest Fairies: starring Emily Agard- A young lady’s horse helps her discover a hidden village of Fairies who offer to help stop an evil land developer from tricking Amanda’s mom into selling the family country inn. (Family/Fantasy) (DVD)
Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle: To bring order back to Mushroom Kingdom, Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, and Yoshi team up with Rabbids heroes in a journey through four different worlds while solving puzzles an engaging in combat battles along the way. Available to buy for Nintendo Switch.
