Catlonite Road to be Closed for Repairs
The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry advises that a section of a primary forest resource road south of Longlac and north of Terrace Bay, in Nipigon District, will be closed for bridge repairs.
A portion of Catlonite Road will be barricaded while repairs are underway. Road access through the site will not be allowed. Catlonite Road is a link to Highway 11 at the north and Highway 17 at the south. The portion of the road to be closed is located at Long Lake Narrows (Taylor’s Bridge), located approximately 92 kilometers south of Longlac and 52 kilometers north of Terrace Bay. The road is expected to be closed for approximately one week, starting July 17.
While this portion of the road is closed, travellers may choose to use the Goldfield/Wintering Road.
