OPP Charge Hearst Man for Criminal Harassment
HEARST, ON – On July 5, 2017, officers from the Hearst Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment initiated an investigation as the result of a report of criminal harassment.
On the 6 July, 2017, shortly after 12:00 p.m., the OPP James Bay Detachment Criminal Investigation Unit, the OPP North East Region Emergency Response Team (ERT) and the OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU) served an arrest warrant at the residence of the accused male in the town of Hearst.
As a result of the investigation, the OPP has arrested and charged Gregory RICHMOND, a 45 year old male from Hearst, Ontario with:
- one count of Criminal Harassment,
- two counts of Breach of Recognizance
- two counts of Fail to comply with Recognizance, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
The accused was taken into custody by police and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cochrane, Ontario on July 7, 2017.
