NOP Holding Executive Board Election at AGM
The Northern Ontario Party is proud to announce that we will be hosting an Executive Board Election at our AGM on the weekend of August 12th to 14th. The vote will be to affirm or negate positions on our executive board and will be held on August 13th . Once the results are read, The NOP will begin accepting new nominations for all vacant board positions. The Nomination process will end on August 27th and a member’s vote will take place on August 28 and 29th. The party will announce the results of this vote on September 1st. Once these elections are done, the NOP will achieve a democratically elected board.
This is the Party’s First ever AGM will be held at the Kettles Lake Provincial Park near Timmins, Ontario on August 12th to 14th. The NOP is hoping to get a large turnout from all its members across Northern Ontario. This is one of the reasons the leadership selected this central location to make it easier for all members to attend this event.
Trevor Holliday as he stated previously feels that the NOP members and Northerners should have a voice in the future of Northern Ontario. Mr. Holliday states that after a year of hard work with the NOP, it’s time to give the membership a chance to decide who will lead them into the next election. We don’t just state things because we feel people want to hear them, We are a party of action, we do what we promise. Unlike other parties, we feel the people should have the power, not the politicians.
Party members or prospective members can purchase tickets to the AGM on our party website, but the tickets must be purchased on or before August 6th.
Members are reminded this is a family event and there will be games and activities for the kids. Therefore, why not bring along your whole family.
If you’re in the Timmins area on August 12th come meet Trevor and the NOP board members at Hollinger Park from 11 am to 1 pm as part of the meet and greet event to open up the AGM.
Finally, The Party would like to extend a special thank you to Micheal Artindale and Ray Belec for taking interim positions as Riding Association presidents for the Ridings of Nickel belt and Parry Sound Muskoka. The NOP would also like to give thanks to Nathan Brown, who has accepted the role of interim CFO for the Sault Riding association
