Many thought that after the tragic and unexpected death of Paul Walker during the filming of Furious 7, the Fast and the Furious franchise would wrap up production without finishing the movie. This was most certainly not the case, as creative use of technology and family allowed producers to finish the film in a pleasing and respectable manner. It was however, not without some surprise when it was announced that the Fate of the Furious would become the eighth installment in the classic franchise. Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson and Michelle Rodriguez all reprised their familiar roles while once again a touching homage was included for Paul Walker. Fate of the Furious is the headline new release in a week that includes an impressive variety of seven new titles, with a brief synopsis of each below;
Fate of the Furious: starring Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham- When a mysterious woman leads Dom into a world of terrorism, his betrayed crew faces the less than enviable task of tracking down their former ally. Lost City of Z: starring Charlie Hunnam, Robert Pattinson and Tom Holland- Based on a TRUE STORY! Norman: starring Richard Gere and Steve Buscemi- Three years after befriending a young Israeli politician, a New York City businessman’s life changes dramatically when the politician becomes the Prime Minister of Israel. (Drama) (DVD)
