UPDATE:- OPP Assist Anishnabek Police Service in Locating Escapee
NIPIGON, ON – On Wednesday June 28, 2017 at approximately 1:45pm officers with the Anishnabek Police Service (APS) were transporting a male to the Thunder Bay District Jail when the male escaped lawful custody west of Gravel River at the Little Cypress Bridge snow plow turnaround.
The escaped male is identified as Lindsay LEGARDE from Pic Mobert First Nation and is described as Indigenous, approximately 5’9″ and 175 pounds with short dark hair and a goatee. He has a scar on his nose and is wearing a grey t-shirt and blue jeans.
Please be advised that LEGARDE was located by members of the North West Region OPP Emergency Response Team at approximately 1:30pm June 29, 2017 approximately 19 kilometres west of Rossport walking in the area of the railway tracks and taken into custody.

Please be advised that LEGARDE was located by members of the North West Region OPP Emergency Response Team at approximately 1:30pm June 29, 2017 approximately 19 kilometres west of Rossport walking in the area of the railway tracks and taken into custody.
