Greenstone Resident Charged with Imparied Driving
GREENSTONE, ON – On June 6, 2017, at 4:16 pm, a member of the Greenstone Ontario Provicial Police (OPP) Stopped a vehicle within the town of Geraldton, Ontario, for a traffic related infraction.
As a result of investigating this incident, the driver, Dakota Jimmy Wilfred SHAWANAMSH, age 24 years of Greenstone, was arrested and transported to Greenstone OPP Detachment for breath tests. The driver was subsequently charged with:
- Driving while ability impaired by alcohol contrary to section 253 (1)(a) of the Criminal Code
- Driving with More than 80mgs. of Alcohol in blood contrary to section 253 (1)(b) of the Criminal Code
- Fail to Comply with Conditions of Undertaking Given by Officer in Charge contrary to section 145 (5.1) of the Criminal Code
He will appear in Geraldton Provincial Court on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at 10:00 am, to answer to the charges.
