SLATE FALLS FIRST NATION, ON – On Monday, March 13, 2017 at approximately 9:30am, a male identified as 38-year-old Christopher CARPENTER of Slate Falls First Nation Territory was located deceased outside his residence.
Officers with the Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service and the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) North West Region Crime Unit and Forensic Identification Unit under the direction of Detective Inspector Mark ZULINSKI of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death.
The post mortem will be held at the Office of the Chief Coroner and Forensic Pathology Service (OCC-OFPS) in Toronto on a date not yet determined.
