#CrossoverInsider: New Release Trailers, How to WIN, MFSC #ChaseTheAce & March Break In-Store
It seems hard to fathom that we are this deep into March and April is right around the corner. Here is a sneak peek at some of the major new releases that will be hitting our shelves in April; Star Wars Rogue One, Office Christmas Party, Hidden Figures, Split, Underworld Blood Wars and more! But sticking with the here are now, this week also presents an impressive slate of new titles. In the not too distant future, Earth is overcrowded and people are given the chance to embark on a 120 year journey on a state-of-the-art spacecraft to a new home on a new planet where they can start fresh and from scratch. But along the way, a malfunction causes two passengers to wake up 90 years before they have reached their destination. That is the problem facing the characters of Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence in Passengers- this week’s headline new release. There are a total five new movies this week, with a brief synopsis of each below;
Passengers: starring Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt – A malfunction in the sleep chambers of a spacecraft traveling to a distant planet and transporting thousands of people causes two passengers to be awakened 90 years early. Collateral Beauty: starring Will Smith, Edward Norton and Kate Winslet – After a terrible tragedy, a man questions the universe by writing to Love, Time and Death. Receiving unexpected answers, he begins to see how these things interlock and how even loss can reveal moments of meaning and beauty. Fences: starring Denzel Washington and Viola Davis– A working-class African-American father grapples with raising his family in the 1950s, while coming to terms with the events of his life. (Drama) (DVD) Also available to rent @ 2 Doors Down in Manitouwadge
Solace: starring Anthony Hopkins, Colin Farrell and Jeffrey Dean Morgan – After a series of horrifying murders, an FBI agent recruits a psychic to assist with the case- only to learn that the killer is far more dangerous than they ever could have imagined. American Violence: starring Bruce Dern and Denise Richards – A world renowned psychologist is tasked with the duty of interviewing and analyzing a death row inmate to determine whether or not a stay of execution should be granted. (Crime/Thriller) (DVD)
