War and violence go hand-in-hand. War has played a major role in our history and seemingly has shaped our society to what it is today. When we see pictures, or watch videos, we see brave soldiers carrying guns into dangerous battlefields. For the most part, this picture plays true-that is unless you are Corporal Desmond Doss. Like many young Americans at the time, Doss was compelled to join the army in order to serve his country. However, unlike his fellow soldiers, Doss refused to use or so much as touch a weapon. Nocturnal Animals: starring Amy Adams, Jake Gyllenhaal and Aaron Taylor-Johnson – Out of the blue, a wealthy art gallery owner receives a manuscript from her ex-husband. Marred by her deteriorating marriage to her current unfaithful husband, she becomes consumed by the novel, which is both dedicated to her and is named after her ex’s nickname for her.
