ONJanuary has been an exciting month for new releases and this week continues that trend. A twist filled thriller, a hilarious action comedy, a spooky possession story, and a new animated adventure all release this week making it quite a diversified slate of new titles sure to please every member of the family. Girl on the Train: starring Emily Blunt- A divorced woman forms an unusual obsession with a married couple whose home she passes on her daily commute. But after the wife goes missing, she becomes entangled in the investigation which promises to send shockwaves through her life. Keeping Up With the Joneses: starring Zach Galifianakis and Jon Hamm- A suburban couple becomes embroiled in an international espionage plot when they discover that their seemingly perfect new neighbors are actually government spies. Ouija Origins of Evil: starring Annalise Basso- In 1967 Los Angeles, a widowed mother and her two daughters add a new stunt to bolster their seance scam business which unwittingly invites an evil presence into their home. Surf’s Up 2: featuring the voices of John Cena and the Undertaker- The penguins team up with The Hang 5 in a journey to a mysterious surf spot! (Kids/Animated) (DVD) Also available to rent @ 2 Doors Down in Manitouwadge!
Decommissioned: starring Vinnie Jones- A retired agent’s life is turned upside down when he discovers that he’s being framed in an impending CIA planned presidential assassination. (Action) (DVD)
Come and Find Me: starring Aaron Paul- When his girlfriend goes missing, a man must track down her whereabouts after he realizes that she’s not who she was pretending to be. (Thriller) (DVD)
Death Race 2050: starring Malcolm McDowell- To help control overpopulation, the government develops a death race in which competitors race across the country scoring points for killing people with their vehicles.(Action/Comedy)
End of a Gun: starring Steven Seagal- A mall security guard, and former federal agent , crosses paths with a drug kingpin’s enforcer after he saves a woman from danger. (Action) (DVD)
