Celebrating the life of Patrice Cormier
Patrice CORMIER – Pat would like to let you know that his work here is done. On Tuesday, January 17, 2017 he received a call, a sort of an offer you can’t refuse, for an appointment from which he will not be returning. This assignment comes with a huge sign-on bonus, a reunion with family and friends he has not seen in a long time. Job security is exactly 110 percent. His new mission takes him to a wonderful place where he will be socializing and camping to his heart’s content. Music, laughter and love are guaranteed. Food is delicious and you never gain an ounce and the coffee is endless. He left detailed instructions for his wife and children to celebrate his mission here, which has now been completed. Low adherence to this instruction will not be tolerated.
Pat’s mission on earth lasted 68 years which 32 of those years were shared with the love of his life, Jacqueline with whom he shares 3 children: Mark (Rebecca Taylor), Vennessa (Gregory Wilson) and Andrew (Jessica Bridge). The joy of being a grandfather was evident every time he saw his grandchildren Christian Bridge-Huizing, Ashley-Lynn, Patrick-Xander, Zara and Tavis Wilson. His children and grandchildren kept his spirit young and always brought a smile to his face.
He also leaves the above instructions to his siblings: Roland (Cassie), Suzanne (Joseph Whalen), Dorothee (Daniel Houle), Rachelle (Randy Merrifield), Louis Frenette Jr. (Nancy Bernard), Lisa (Michael Moreau) and “special sister” Rachel Tremblay Dovell. Pat is the son of the late Rita Morin (late Gerard Cormier and late Louis Frenette Sr.) and brother to the late Gilles Cormier. Pat will be greatly missed by his parents-in-law Donald and Gabrielle Landry and his brothers and sisters-in-law: Lyne and Daniel Gallant and Alain and Carol Landry. He also leaves behind three generations of nieces and nephews, who will hold him dearly in their hearts.
Pat also had a special friendship with Bill W. for 38 years.
Family and friends are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758) on Friday, January 20, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. until time of Celebration of Life in the Chapel at 3:00 p.m. with Father Paul Conway officiating.
