OLOL Girls Volleyball Dominate in Marathon

In Marathon today (Nov.2016) with local parents watching the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School boys and girls volleyball teams take a run at winning the 2016 Margaret Twomey Public School (MTPS) tournament held in Marathon.
The school itself was beautiful and the students very polite and friendly, but when it came to the court well – Game On! , everyone was serious, focused and having a blast. The crowd was chanting, screaming and clapping. Our girls rocked the tournament by winning every game they played against: MTPS, Ecole Val de Bois, Holy Saviour School and Pic River Elementary – none were a match for the OLOL girls’ team.
OLOL boys also played very well but came up short, winning only their last game which wasn’t enough to make it to the finals. Nice try guys, and good on you for having fun and playing with sportsmanship.
Our Lady Of Lourdes Catholic School played hard; fantastic job to you all and a big thank you to the coaches Mme. Clark and Mrs. Baker, great job ladies. Once again congrats girls for the first place finish today and guys chin up there’s always next time…
