When it comes to scary movies over the past decade, James Wan has become the go to guy. The Malaysian-born Australian director has a knack for creating taut, atmospheric and downright creepy films. Some of his best work can be found in the Conjuring 1 and 2, Annabelle and Insidious 2 and 3. Wan was back in the director’s earlier this year for “Light’s Out”, this week’s headline new release. Fans flocked to the theatres and, as a result, the film would go on to make an incredible 148 million dollars world wide- an impressive feat for a horror movie. Just in time for Halloween season Light’s Out leads a pack of six new releases this week. Below is a brief synopsis of each new title;
Lights Out: starring Teresa Palmer- When her little brother begins experiencing the same events that she faced as a child, a young lady works to unlock the truth behind the terror, which brings her face to face with an entity that seems to have an attachment to their mother.
