Regional High School Students to Explore 13 Colleges This Week
Students from local high schools across the region are participating in the annual College Information Program (CIP) Tour this week. The tour includes booths and displays featuring representatives from 13 colleges across Ontario, including Confederation College. Students have the opportunity to explore each of the colleges – all in one place.
Students will be able to speak with college representatives about programs being offered, how to apply, financial aid, opportunities after graduation and more.
The CIP Tour is an annual six-week tour that travels to colleges and secondary schools across all of Ontario. The participating colleges being welcomed to northwestern Ontario include:
- Algonquin (Ottawa),
- Cambrian (Sudbury),
- Canadore (North Bay),
- Centennial (Toronto),
- Conestoga (Kitchener),
- Durham (Oshawa),
- Fanshawe (London),
- George Brown (Downtown Toronto),
- Georgian (Barrie),
- Lambton (Sarnia),
- Northern (Timmins)
- Sault (Sault Ste. Marie).
The tour will be stopping at Confederation College’s Thunder Bay campus on Thursday, September 29.
You are invited to attend an event in your area. The full schedule is as follows (times are noted in the appropriate time zone):
The Picture Your Future Tour will also be incorporated into the CIP activities in Marathon. This unique initiative is run in collaboration with Colleges Ontario and uses green-screen technology to take the students’ photos in an array of career settings, highlighting the educational opportunities offered at Confederation College. Students can download their photo to a mobile device and share it with their family and friends.
