Male Arrested and Charged with Sexual Assault
WAWA, ON – On Monday May 30, 2016 at approximately 10:40 pm members of the Superior East Wawa Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a sexual assault incident at a Wawa residence.
At the scene police investigated the incident and as a result have arrested and charged a 43 years old Sault Ste. Marie man with the following offences;
- Adult- Sexual Interference with a person under 16 years of age contrary to section 151 of the Criminal Code of Canada
- Adult- Invitation to Sexual Touching under 16 years of age contrary to section 152 of the C.C.C
- Adult- Sexual Assault on a Person Under 16 years of age contrary to section 271 of the C.C.C.
The accused was transported to Sault Ste Marie Ontario for bail hearing.
