Want a simple way to impact your health? Come walk with the North Shore Family Health Team staff. Exercise has benefits for your mental, emotional and physical health. Walking is an easy, affordable means of exercise, and walking with us will also be fun (which will be an additional health benefit). The benefits of walking can include but are not limited to: improvement in blood glucose levels and blood pressure, reduce stress, boosts immune functioning, can keep your brain healthy, increase sense of well-being and lead to greater happiness!

The first week, we did not have anyone attend, so we are trying again, as we want to provide you with this free opportunity to do something good for yourself. We will meet at the clinics, and decide as a group where to walk, the staff will walk at the back of the group but participants are welcome to walk as fast as they want to. As we walk we can have discussions about health and what we can do to influence our health.

Many people find that when they are walking with others, the time seems to go fast and you forget about the weather. We will walk, rain or shine, if you will venture out, we will keep you company! We won’t do any hiking in a downpour but who knows what you will be willing to try next year.

Times: 1pm & 6:30pm

Wednesdays in Terrace Bay meet @Aguasabon Medical Clinic
Starting: Weekly May 4 till Wed. June 29 (*No Walk June 1st at 1pm)
Times: 1pm & 6:30pm

All walks will be 30-45 minutes — All ages & fitness levels welcome!
