Back in February, a superhero took the world by storm. It wasn’t Batman or Superman. It wasn’t Spider-Man either. This wasn’t your prototypical superhero- it was the foul-mouthed, burned-faced Deadpool. With Canadian Ryan Reynolds in the starring role, Deadpool smashed records with a 135 million dollar box office gross in its opening weekend. With favorable reviews and great legs, it would go on to gross over 361 million in the USA alone- a new record for an R-rated film. This week, Deadpool is the headline new release here at Crossover Video and Games.
There are a total of six new releases with a brief synopsis of each below;
Deadpool: starring Ryan Reynolds- A former Special Forces operative turned mercenary is subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers and the new alter ego- Deadpool. The Boy: starring Rupert Evans: A nanny is shocked to learn that her new client’s child is actually a life sized doll. After violating a list of strict rules, she beings fearing the doll may be alive. (Horror) (DVD and Blu-Ray) Also available to rent at 2 Doors Down in Manitouwadge!
Against the Wild 2: starring Jeri Ryan- After their plane crashes in the African Serengeti, two kids and their dog must do whatever it takes to survive. (Adventure) (DVD)
Alpha and Omega Dino Digs: After the crew is forced to relocate their den, they meet a friendly raptor who assists them in their journey to stop the diggers from unearthing the dangerous T-Rex before it is too late! (Kids) (DVD) Also available to rent at 2 Doors Down in Manitouwadge!
Where to Invade Next: featuring Michael Moore- In an effort to discover what the USA can learn from other nations, Michael Moore playfully “invades” them to see what they have to offer. (Documentary) (DVD)
Land Before Time Journey of the Brave: After his father doesn’t return from an important journey, Littlefoot and his friends set out on a mission to find him. (Kids) (DVD) Also available to rent at 2 Doors Down in Manitouwadge!
Uncharted 4: Nathan Drake has presumably left the world of fortune hunting behind. However, it doesn’t take long for adventure to come calling when Drake’s brother, Sam, resurfaces seeking his help to save his own life and offering an adventure Drake can’t resist. Available to rent or buy for PS4.
