Special weather statement in effect for:
- Nipigon – Rossport
- Schreiber – Marathon
- Pukaskwa Park – Wawa
Snow has reached the Lakehead area near Thunder Bay and will continue to spread quickly east to remaining regions tonight as a strong Alberta Clipper approaches from the west.
A significant snowfall is expected across the regions, with total snowfall amounts of 15 to 20 cm by Sunday evening.
Visibilities may be reduced in areas of heavy snow and blowing snow.
Untreated highways will become snow covered and slippery.
Motorists traveling along the Trans Canada Highway between Wawa and Thunder Bay should exercise caution, and allow extra time to reach their destination.
