Sexual Assault Investigation Results in Charges : Manitouwadge
MARATHON, ON –Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Manitouwadge Detachment, with the assistance of the North West Region Crime Unit, conducted a sexual assault investigation involving victims under the age of 16. Two separate events were reported to police, one on January 10, 2016 and a second on January 12, 2016. The incidents occurred between 1992 and 2015 in the Town of Manitouwadge.
As a result of the investigation, on January 13, 2016 the OPP arrested and charged a 73 year old male, Gary STILLMACK of Manitouwadge, Ontario with:
- Two counts of Sexual Exploitation;
- Sexual Assault on a Person Under 16 years of age; and
- Sexual Interference with a person under 16 years of age contrary to the Criminal Code.
The male has been remanded into custody at the Thunder Bay District Jail and is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Thunder Bay on January 15, 2016 to answer to these charges.
