OPP Charge Local Resident with Historical Sexual Assault
WAWA, ON – In October 2015, the Superior East Wawa Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) began an investigation into allegations of sexual assault that had occurred during the early 1980s. The assaults were reported to have taken place in the Wawa area.
As a result of this investigation, police arrested and charged Roger Melvin HARRISON (75) of Hawk Junction, Ontario with Indecent Assault on Female contrary to section 149 of the Criminal Code of Canada. He was released and is to Appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Wawa Ontario on February 8, 2016.
