Award season has officially kicked off the recent crowning of the Golden Globe Award winners. Often thought of as a precursor to the Academy Awards, the Golden Globes offer a glimpse of some of Hollywood’s best movies and performances from the year just past. Irrational Man:starring Joaquin Phoenix and Emma Stone – A troubled college professor finds his will to live after entering into a platonic relationship with one of his students. (Drama) (DVD)
Life: starring Robert Pattinson and Dane Dehaan – A Life magazine photographer is assigned the task of taking candid shots while capturing a glance inside the life of James Dean. (Drama) (DVD)
Seeds of Yesterday: THE FINAL MOVIE IN THE “FLOWERS IN THE ATTIC SERIES”. After undergoing psychiatric treatments following his encounter with his grandmother, Bart becomes the sole heir of the family estate, where he attempts to change his fortunes while continuing to battle with his family’s curses. Where Hope Grows: A baseball player, whose professional career was cut short due to his personal problems, begins a life changing friendship with a young-man with Down syndrome who works at the local grocery store. (Drama)
Experimenter: starring Peter Sarsgaard – A famed social psychologist conducts a series of radical behavior experiments that tests ordinary humans willingness to obey authority. (Drama) (DVD)
