MANITOUWADGE, ON – Manitouwadge Public School students recently enjoyed a very special day at school, taking part in Anti-Bullying activities.
Throughout the day, there were numerous activities which promoted being ‘a buddy – not a bully’ . The senior students facilitated as leaders in many of the events. Identified as a student favourite was erecting tents in the gym which the students from senior grades enjoyed with their younger peers (a.k.a. the little ones).
The ‘big kids’ also led their younger peers in reading and team building activities, demonstrating great leadership while encouraging confidence and self-esteem and forming great friendships.
Learning to put up a tent is a very useful skill for anyone , of any age, living in Northern Ontario. Families who enjoy camping may b pleasantly surprised on their next outing to discover their little ones can be of assistance! Photo MPS
