Single Vehicle Rollover Results In Fatality
WAWA, ON – On Saturday June 6, 2015 at 10:15 am, members of the Superior East Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to a single motor vehicle rollover on Highway 631 in the Cooper Township.
Officers attended the scene and confirmed there was one fatality. The driver, Christopher H. JONES, 51 of Garden River First Nation succumbed to his injuries at the scene as a result of this collision.
The collision was investigated by officers of the Hornepayne OPP Detachment with the assistance of the Technical Traffic Collision Investigator (TTCI) and Reconstructionist (RECON).
The White River Fire Department were also on scene to assist.
The Highway has been re-opened to traffic in both directions. Through their investigation police determined the driver who was operating a dump truck lost control which resulted in the vehicle leaving the roadway rolling over.
