WEEKLY WRAP : HOME SWEET HOME

After a one week vacation, the Crossover Insider is back!

Last week, Fifty Shades of Grey hit the shelves. The controversial film, based on the book of the same name, is sure to conjure up some conversation with our customers- whether they love it or hate it! This week, seven new titles are available for your viewing pleasures headlined by Johnny Depp’s latest comedic venture- “Mortdecai”.

Here is a brief summary of each of this week’s new movies;

Tracers: starring Taylor Lautner- A bike messenger, wanted by the Chinese mafia, escapes into the world of parkour where he becomes involved with a criminal delivery service. (Action) (DVD and Blu-Ray)

Still Alice: starring Julianne Moore-A linguistics professor and her family find their bonds put to the test when she is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease. (Drama) (DVD)

Last Five Years: starring Anna Kendrick- A struggling actress and her novelist lover each illustrate the trying times and deconstruction of their love affair. (Musical/Drama) (DVD)

Drownsman: starring Caroline Palmer- After nearly inexplicably drowning in a lake and being crippled with fear, a woman’s friends hold an intervention during which they open up a portal to a dark place where no one is safe. (Horror) (DVD)

Fifty Shades of Grey– A story of a woman who falls for a billionaire businessman who has certain tendencies
Selma– A powerful true story about the life and times of Martin Luther King Jr.
Playing it Cool– a romantic comedy with Chris Evans
Black Sea– Jude Law stars as the captain of a submarine in search of sunken treasures
Black or White– Kevin Costner plays a grieving widower and grandfather who’s caught up in a nasty custody battle
A Few Best Men– Pitch Perfect star Rebel Wilson stars in this wedding gone wrong comedy
The Pyramid– a team of archaeologists unwittingly dig up an ancient curse
Love Rosie– Best friends since age 5, now grown, find themselves looking to take the next step in their relationship
Turner– Academy Award nominated story of British painter J.M.W Turner
