Female Workers Alleged To Have Arrived At Work Site Impaired
MARATHON ON – Saturday March 21, 2015 officers from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Marathon detachment were dispatched to the Hydro Dam work site located on Road 700, East of White River, regarding two female workers that arrived at the site impaired. When officers arrived on site a vehicle was observed attempting to drive away.
A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle and upon speaking to the driver officers detected an odour of alcohol on the driver’s breath. Police demanded a roadside breath sample and the driver registered a fail. The driver was arrested and returned to the White River OPP detachment for further breath samples.
A 38 year old female from Northern ON was charged with Driving with more than 80mgs of Alcohol in 100ml of blood, and was released from custody on a Promise to Appear with a court date of April 28, 2015 in Marathon ON.
Motorists who drink and drive are subject to drivers licence suspensions, vehicle impoundments, criminal records and increased insurance costs. Please drive responsibly and don’t drink and drive.
